Socket Mounted, Verge Marker Post - Type 1

This is the most commonly used distance marker post used on UK Motorway and Trunk Road verges. 

Blue Vinyl for Motorway use.
Green Vinyl for Trunk Road use.

Ground sockets are fixed using a peg as an anchor to provide secure installation. This enables socket mounted posts to be removed when required, for example during grass cutting.

Socket Mounting Location - 300mm to 400mm outside hard shoulder / hard strip.
