Marker post used on the near side of UK Motorways to countdown to emegency crossings.

Blue Vinyl for Motorway use.

The post is barrier mounted on safety fences not more than 1.5 mm from the edge of the carriageway, hard shoulder or hard strip. Installation is with the bracket supplied.

Position and Spacing in Relation to the Emergency Crossing

Posts are fixed at 100 m intervals.

Type 8A (3) 300 m from crossing.
Type 8A (2) 200 m from crossing.
Type 8A (1) 100 m from crossing.
